Tonight I am having a company dinner at a nice restaurant in Tacoma. It's our late holiday gathering because nobody has time for this stuff in December. Last year I came up with a form for people to anonymously submit nice things about their co-workers. Then I compile a list for each employee, read it at the dinner, and then give them a copy to take home. They asked that we do it again this year, so we did.
I was reading through their responses while sitting at a bar on Friday night and they made me want to cry! They are soooo sweet.
Having employees that you are involved with is a lot like having children. You feel so proud of them when they succeed and you feel proud of your culture when you see them love each other. Easily the best part of owning a business.
